I was able to hang out with the Huber's over a beer in June 2006 while they were working on the record. I also chatted with the Huber's, again over a beer, in SF after they got the record this past October 2007.
In the webinar I'll talk about the way the Hubers tackled the route and go pitch by pitch
how my attempts at the record went after talking to them.(I got a good go of 5:26 in November)
Some seasoned and aspiring NIAD folks will join in discussing how were working to break the record and we'll be open for tips on ways to go faster. In general I do not believe that "cutting corners" on safety is desired, and it is not necessary.
THIS IS a "very fast speed chalk-talk" or "record speed setting strategy session" to make sure I or some other group is thinking out the best way to get the record. THIS IS NOT a "HOW-TO Climb the Nose Easier" learning session PER-SE. - I will be hosting a Webinar in January that will address ANYONE tackling the route, whether they are doing it over 6 days or in 8 hours. more info on that here.
